December 2004 meet

We met at the Elkton Library.

I think these were Thor speakers.

Ray's 829B amp working in only one channel.

Doug's line stage.

I seem to remember Randall built this lovely looking amp.

829B amp working. Late in the day it sounded very sweet and airy.

I think this is Mark's chip amp made out of a kettle.

Doug Piccard. He and I got the group started and since he moved out to Detroit we have really missed both his presence and his amps.

May 2003 meet

We met at the Public Library in Elkton, MD. Our patron saint looked on.

BK-16's.

A table of goodies to audition.

A side table with even more stuff.

Lovely looking monoblocks that look like 300B's to me.

The gang.

Ray's 829B amp with the lightbulbs glowing.

A great enclosure for a line stage.

Cake pan amp.

We tried the BK-16's with a tweeter. Most felt the combo worked better.

This looks like one of Doug's push pull creations.

PP HY69's. Cascode triode LTP input stage that is running E-Linear FB. The linestage above it is a 12B4 circuit with an all-tube active load and a regulated PS

I think this is a Bottlehead Foreplay / Seduction combo.

Closeup of the 829B amp.

The taste tester line stage made a reappearance.

It's almost nine years since this meet so you will have to excuse my poor memory of what all these magic devices were.
